In 1982, when Steve and Kathy Foster opened Fresno Coin, they bought a cigar store Indian at a Pomona swap meet for decor.

That same year, dear friends and customers named Betty and Floyd Smith came into our shop. Floyd asked Steve Sr. what the name of our Indian was. It dawned on Steve Sr. that we had overlooked naming him. So immediately he was named Floyd in honor of our curious customer Floyd Smith.

Floyd the Indian is NOT FOR SALE as he has become part of the family over the years. He currently resides in our Loan Building.
